There are a variety of forums that deal with the topic of overseas property, here are some of them and a few words on each – just my opinion, not meant to be a recommendation or otherwise. There’s a link at the bottom of the page to a more in-depth feature on forums and what you can expect from them.
General
The Singing Pig, is a UK based portal. It has some good discussions and others that are less informative. Very UK based which would reduce its attraction to an Irish audience, but useful for picking up trends.
AskAboutMoney had, at one stage, Ireland’s busiest overseas property discussion forum but a mixture of legal threats from agents/developers featured there and a tendency for Mods to be somewhat over-zealous has led to its virtual demise.
Boards features mainly Irish property discussions, and predominantly rental related, more than likely reflecting the younger clientele it attracts. The overseas discussions are few and far between, but do appear occasionally and it is quite a busy forum, so you can expect a reply.
Property Community is probably the most authoritative general overseas property forum around. It is UK based, so a lot of the discussions won’t pertain to Irish needs, but it is a busy and vibrant community and you’ll generally find someone to respond to your queries whatever they may be.
TemptedBuy is just starting out as I write this so there’s not a lot of activity there yet. Shows some promise if early postings are anything to go by but it’s difficult to tell just yet.
The Property Pin has taken over as Ireland’s busiest property forum with the demise of Ask About Money’s property section. If you spend any time on the site you’ll notice that it is more an anti-property site than anything else (as in the pin that pricked the bubble). For those actually interested in property, the constant back-slapping and high-fiving of those who claim they didn’t invest in property and didn’t get caught in the slump can be somewhat painful.
