Karl Morris Case Update from Paul Clarke

Debate over Court Case results

The following has been received from the legal representatives of Paul Clarke, who is taking a case on behalf of 31 clients of Simple Overseas against its owner, Karl Morris.

To follow on from my statement issued regarding the court appearance of Mr. Karl Morris on Thursday of last week.

This court appearance was the first audience in front of the presiding Judge for the case and the opportunity for the Judge to formally accept the jurisdiction of the criminal case against Mr. Morris.

The only documentation entered to the court by the defence was to prove the permanent residency of Mr. Morris and his family in Spain. This was accepted by the Judge and no further provision was made against him. As previously stated I have entered an appeal against this decision.

I would like to strenuously point out that Mr. Morris has not been cleared of the charges entered against him. Mr. Morris verbally defended his position only, and no support documentation was entered as evidence of that statement.

This case has been accepted as a criminal matter and the trial will continue.
